Ginger Lynn's Biography :
Ginger Lynn was born on the 14th of December 1962 in the Swedish American Hospital located in Rockford, Illinois. Details about the early period of
Ginger Lynn life are scarce due to her not speaking about them freely, this is due to
Ginger Lynn being a sufferer of child abuse from her mother, Marilyn Allen (previously Marilyn Mcbride). Her parts, Wayne Allen and Marilyn were 18 and 19 respectively when she was born and it has been speculated by many that they were simply not responsible enough to cope with bringing up a child which lead to the dysfunctional life in the Allen household that Ginger experienced.
Ginger Lynn has stated that in 1974, at the age of 12, she attempted to commit suicide using sleeping pills and medication used by her mother and was left by
Ginger Lynn's mother close to death for almost 3 days without any medical help. Her descent into the world of substance abuse began only a year after that experience when her boyfriend of the time not only introduced her to drugs but also got her pregnant (a pregnancy which she had aborted). After this
Ginger Lynn went to live with her grandparents who had discovered the abuse she was
receiving at home along with learning of her sexual activities (Ginger has said that it was her grandmother who first showed her
contraceptives such as condoms and the pills after finding out about her boyfriend).
Ginger Lynn Allen (her full birth name) graduated from Rockford West High School in 1981, and moved out of her grandparents house as they were moving to Lucern Valley in
California. While living on her own or with boyfriends, Ginger Lynn
worked at a music store as an assistant manager and had a 2nd job as a waitress at night. It was only a year later, in 1982, that her grandfather had a heart attack while living in California, and Ginger moved there straight away in order to care for him as both him and her grandmother were major figures in Ginger's life, however he died shortly afterwards and Ginger continued to live in California afterwards.
As with many stars at the time, Ginger Lynn built up a large base of fans through many unique traits that were displayed in her videos, these
included an ever changing array of hairstyles, although almost always in the same natural blonde
color of her hair. A passion for overly loud 'dirty talk' while having sex with both her male and female co-stars, something that has continued to be popular in the adult films of today. Ginger Lynn's

was earning. Ginger Lynn decided to find something that would support them both better and responded to an advertisement from the 'World Modeling Agency' in the September of 1983. From her young looks and her great physique, they hired Ginger Lynn
on the spot and one of her first roles was a spread in the popular adult magazine, Penthouse. This exposure gained Ginger Lynn
publicity in the industry and by the December of that year Ginger Lynn
began working in adult videos. Ginger Lynn first films include the 1984 releases 'Surrender In Paradise', 'Slumber Party', 'Supergirls Do General Hospital' and 'Suze's Centerfolds 8'.
Due to these appearances, Ginger Lynn's fame grew quickly and by the end of her career she had appeared in over 220 films (although some were reused clips from earlier performances, the exact number of original scenes shot is unknown). Ginger Lynn
was the original 'Vivid Girl' (a rumored relationship with the owner of Vivid Entertainment, Steve Hirsch, may well have influenced this) and she also had her own line of videos released through the company. Ginger Lynn
became a favorite among fans for performing anal and DP (double penetration) which were extremely rare for a huge name like her to do at that time, along with also frequently appearing in lesbian scenes (in which Ginger Lynn
was extremely vocal, and through which she has been credited with
popularizing 'dirty talk' during sex scenes). Throughout Ginger Lynn's
career she worked with some of the biggest names at the time, including Ron Jeremy, Tom Byron and the infamous John Holmes.
Although almost all of Ginger Lynn's movies made a profit for the studio, some did a lot better in sales volume than others. Ginger Lynn decided to stop making adult movies in February 1986, mainly due to her
realizing the extent of her fame and wanting to establish a mainstream
career in Hollywood films. Many of the films in which Ginger Lynn
appeared in were 'B movies' which contained large amounts of sex scenes anyway, the most notable of those in which she appeared include the 'Vice Academy' series, 'The Stranger' and 'Ultimate Taboo'. Ginger Lynn
also appeared in the music video for 'Turn the Page', a song by the popular heavy metal band Metallica and had a small role in the television series 'NYPD Blue'. During her retirement from the industry, Ginger gave birth to a son (named Sterling) on the 24th of March 1996 and also famously dated the
Hollywood actor Charlie Sheen.
After touring nightclubs and bars around the country giving strip shows
and interviews during Ginger Lynn's retirement, Ginger Lynn
signed a long-awaited comeback deal with the adult film company VCA Pictures in 1999. She starred in 4 new productions for them, the best selling being the 1999 release 'Torn' with the three others being 'White Lightning' and 'New Wave Hookers 6' (both released in 2000) and the final film being 'Taken' which was released in 2001. In the summer of the year 2000 Ginger Lynn
underwent a hysterectomy and a course of chemotherapy after being diagnosed with cervical cancer, she was later confirmed cancer free.
In 2002, Ginger Lynn decided not to negotiate a new contract and retired from the adult movie industry for the second and probably final time, focusing on trying to land mainstream film roles and making it the celebrity world. Ginger Lynn
has succeeded to an extent, with a 2005 role in 'American Pie: Band Camp' as the camp nurse and landing a starring role in the 2006 sexual comedy 'Kisses and Caroms'. She has also been a host on Playboy Radio on Sirius Radio since March 2006, co-presenting the show 'Night Calls Radio' with her friend and previous co-star Christy Canyon.
